'A NEW DAY HAS COME' is Céline Dion's first release since her two-year hiatus. This is also her first studio album since 1997's 'LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE,' which has sold 28 million copies worldwide.

Highlights include the title track written by Aldo Nova and Stephan Moccio and produced by longtime collaborators Walter Afanasieff and Nova; "I Surrender," produced by Simon Franglen; "I'm Alive," produced by Kristian Lundin; and "Sorry For Love," produced by Anders "BAG" Bagge, Peer Astrom and Arnthor. Fans will also be swept away by the singer's renditions of the Etta James classic, "At Last" first recorded by Glen Miller in 1941, Nat King Cole's "Nature Boy" and "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)," produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange.

Chart Success:
A New Day Has Come was very successful, debuting at number 1 in over twenty countries and selling 10 million copies. The IFPI announced that it was the fifth best selling album worldwide in 2002.

In the United States, A New Day Has Come debuted at number 1, selling 558,000 copies in its first week. It was Dion's first number 1 debut, and her fourth number 1 overall. In the following week, A New Day Has Come sold 263,000 copies and slipped to number 2. To date, the album has sold 3.3 million copies in the United States and is certified 3x platinum. In Canada, it sold 152,000 copies in the first week and stayed at number 1 for seven consecutive weeks. It has been certified 6x platinum for 600,000 copies sold.

A New Day Has Come went triple platinum in Europe, reaching the top in most European countries. In the United Kingdom, it debuted with 89,000 copies sold and stayed at number 1 for four weeks in a row. To date, it has sold 500,000 copies and was certified platinum. In France, the album topped the chart for four weeks and was certified 3x platinum for 900,000 copies sold.

In Australia, A New Day Has Come stayed five weeks at number 1 and was certified 2x platinum, selling over 160,000 copies.
