'The Colour Of My Love' is Celine Dion's third English language record. The anticipation for this release was originally heightened by the hype around the success of the soundtrack to the hit film 'Sleepless in Seattle,' for which Celine sang the theme song "When I Fall In Love" with Clive Griffin. 'The Colour Of My Love' boasts a number of ballad performances that equal such notable Dion hits as her Grammy-winning "Beauty And The Beast" and the Top 5 single "If You Asked Me To." Celine reinforces her prior reputation with this album's premiere single and video, "The Power Of Love."

Together with hits like "Misled," "Only One Road," and "Think Twice," this is a release that will surely be very difficult to top.

Other tracks from 'The Colour Of My Love' prove Céline's range of talent. "Refuse to Dance," with its foreboding atmosphere, swirling gypsy violin lines and enigmatic lyrics, is unlike anything Celine has ever recorded before. "Loving Proof" evokes the glory days of Philadelphia soul, as its vibraphone-tinged verses lead into a breathtaking chorus of strings and voices. 'The Colour Of My Love' closes with its title song, co-written and produced by David Foster and certain to become a standard in the canon of Celine Dion ballads.

Chart Success:
The Colour of My Love to this point was Dion's biggest success. The album sold more than her two previous English albums and all of her prior French albums combined. The Colour of My Love was Dion's first album to reach number 1 on the charts. It featured also her first number 1 singles: "The Power of Love" (United States, Canada, Australia), "Think Twice" (United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark) and "To Love You More" (Japan).

The Colour of My Love gave Celine Dion big success in the U.S. with sales exceeding more than 6 million copies making the album 6x platinum and peaking at number 4 on the Billboard 200 (149 weeks on the chart).

With very little success at this point in the UK, the main track "Think Twice" slowly moved up the chart to number 1, where the album quickly followed. The Colour of My Love and the single stayed at number 1 for seven weeks both (an achievement not replicated since 1965 with The Beatles). Total album sales in the UK have reached almost two million.

The album went to number 1 in seven countries, including Norway (ten weeks at the top), Australia (eight weeks), UK (seven weeks), Canada (six weeks), Ireland (four weeks), Belgium Flanders (four weeks), and Greece.

The Colour of My Love has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
