Celine's music is present in all the aspects of my life, I laugh with her, I cry with her, I dance with her, I see the world with her, I am meeting new people because of her and because of our common passion for Celine I met several of my closest friends. Friends for a lifetime.
Often it's hard to explain to someone who asks me why Celine means as much to me as she does. It's like asking to set out my life story in just a few sentences. It's also almost impossible to explain why of all people in the world it's Celine Dion who is as deep in my heart as she is.
It's not simply hitting the notes even though she is able to touch me deeply, it's about a way of life, becoming who you are. Everybody links certain songs to events that happened in their lives and the personal growth that goes with that. Celine's music has done that for me since I was fourteen years old, I really grew up with her. Everybody has certain posters on her wall around that certain age and people to look up to. That's how it began for me. She entered my life when I was starting to figure out who I am was and even when you get older you will still be reflecting on who you are and you will still be looking for answers and personal growth.
Being surrounded by Celine's music makes me feel good about myself. She comes from an honest place, a place where a lot of people are afraid to go to. She's wearing her heart on her sleeve and she has so much love to give. I feel comfortable with that because I feel that I am the same. I really believe that what you give away will come back to you. Look where Celine is today. I look up to that, she's is my inspiration.
I try to be exactly who I am in today's world, not allowing to change myself for anything or anyone. That's not always easy to do. In fact it's very hard to do. Obligations and events often take you in directions that will stretch your boundaries and that will test you profusely and through it all you need a way to get back to yourself and I guess that is exactly what Celine means to me. She brings me to myself. She's my way back...

When I think of the moment I became a Celine Dion fan, the best way I can describe it is that it was the voice that captured my attention, but it was the person behind the voice that ultimately kept it. She has, in my opinion, the most incredible voice of all time, and is able to touch so many different people with her passion. But when you dig deeper, when you look under the surface of that voice you find such an incredible story, you find inspiration, and above all you find love.
As a young girl sitting on my living room floor, doing my homework, I was listening to a music awards show playing in the background. I listened to the performances as I finished up my work, looking up occasionally to see who won an award. But then, suddenly, I heard this note, a note I didn't think was humanly possible. I instantly looked up to see a beautiful woman in a white outfit, her head thrown back, her face full of emotion, hitting this note that seemed to go on and on. Her voice sounded like home, very calming and soothing, and it reached the depths of my soul. Who was this woman, what was this song, and where could I hear more? From that moment on, I was a fan! Something in her voice spoke to me, I felt an instant everlasting connection. For over a decade, I have been in love with this woman, supported her in her every move both personal and professional, and have continued to be mesmerized by her outstanding voice. As I discovered my first albums of hers, I simply could not believe I had gone through my ten years of life and had not heard this voice before. Then I watched my first interview of Celine, and became an even bigger fan. Her story is incredibly inspirational. It's about a little girl with a huge talent, the musical family who surrounded her with all the support she needed, the talented manager who helped to make her dreams a reality, and about an eternal love that was meant to be.
Celine is one of the most phenomenal people in the world, but she will be the last to tell you that, and I think that's one of the reasons why so many people love her so much. She is the definition of humble. She knows she has millions of fans all over the world who put her on a pedestal, but she has never done that to herself. She thinks of herself as a normal woman, trying to make as normal of a life as possible. She has never lost touch with that little girl from Charlemagne, Quebec. She has this ability to be herself, to be completely genuine under any circumstance. We as fans respect and react to that, and never hesitate to open our hearts and show our true selves in return. There is a humility about her that you cannot help but love.
Personally, Celine helps and has helped me through every step of life, every emotion. Through tragedy and times of great joy. When you love her, you feel the love right back. She makes all of us feel important to her, and makes it known that she appreciates all that we do. When I speak about the connection Celine has with her fans, it's impossible for anyone to fully grasp the concept, unless you are a fan yourself. Celine was born with her heart on her sleeve, if you're willing, she will let you in and keep you tucked inside her heart forever. The connection goes further, the fans themselves are connected as a team. She is bringing people together that may have never met otherwise. Celine has said how frustrated she is that she cannot change the world we live in. The truth is, not one person alone can change our world. We can, however, all do our part. She is doing her part immensely, by inspiring the lives of so many all over the world. She has such a wide variety of fans from all different age groups, nationalities, and religions. Celine is changing the world, because she is changing lives. Ultimately they will do their part to change the world, and in turn inspire others to do the same.
Celine is an phenomenal woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Not to take away from her remarkable voice, but I would still be her fan if it were simply because of the person that she is. I would not be who I am without her inspiration, she has impacted my life in so many unexpected ways. By looking up to Celine and by having her as an inspiration has taught me a great many things. First of all, and perhaps most importantly, always believe in yourself and in your dreams. Never settle for less, and continue to climb higher when there is no place higher left climb. Nothing is impossible. If circumstances allow, be generous and kind to others in need. And no matter what, always be true to who you are because that's what truly counts after all. She has and will continue to inspire the world, myself included, and there will never be another quite like Celine Dion.
