Celine's upcoming performance at the new concert venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma will be commemorated with a tree that will stand for years to come! The brand new arena, the BOK Center, is lined with trees to honour both the environment and the artists performing during its inaugural year. Each tree will be identified with a stainless steel plaque, added as each performer arrives. Celine's Taking Chances World Tour heads to Tulsa on November 13, and on that night she will also receive a photo of her tree!

Today is Celine's sister, Ghislaine's birthday. Ghislaine was only 10 years old when Celine was born and is the ninth child of the family. She remembers when Celine was 5 years old and their parents brought them to the club where they used to work as musicians. Ghislaine was playing drums and her father brought Celine on stage. The people in the audience were offering ten dollar bills just to hear Celine sing! Ghislaine was surprised and impressed by her little sister!

2008 Faces of Hope

Celine is taking part in a special humanitarian project entitled "2008 Faces of Hope," which aims to raise funds for children in need around the world. For this project, Celine met with children from around the world in Montreal, Canada earlier this week for a photoshoot with renowned photographer Heidi Hollinger. These children are alive today thanks to a miracle; some were saved by medical breakthroughs, some by miracles of nature and some by the incredible acts of good Samaritans. Three amazing fundraising items will be created from these photographs; a book about the miracle children, a family calendar and a series of greeting cards. All proceeds from these items will be donated to the Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada, the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada as well as UNICEF!
